Q: Are the recipes in the magazine, video and courses only in imperial units or both with metric?

  • A: Almost all of our recipes are in imperial and metric

 

If it's not mentioned specifically, our recipes are intended to yield 5 gallon finished batches, 60 minute boils, liquor:grist ratio of 1.5 quarts/pounds of grain, and a mash time of 60 minutes. We don't generally list boil volume since the boil off is so dependent on the equipment and location.
